Indonesian Student Chapter of AAPG participated in IPA 32nd Convention and Exhibition. Every SC had to send their poster activity to be displayed in AAPG booth. There were eleven posters, except UNHAS SC and UNSRI SC of AAPG. One poster was from University of Malaya SC as guest SC from Malaysia.
In the first day, student exhibitors began to prepare the AAPG Booth. There were five students exhibitor, namely from UNPAD SC, UNHAS SC, ITB SC, USAKTI SC, and UI SC. They were the winner of International Outstanding SC. And, there are two additional students exhibitor from University of Malaya.
Some activities in AAPG Booth
At AAPG Booth, student exhibitors had a duty to explain their SC Activities to visitors. Then, they also gave some souvenirs and held a recruitment new member for professional.
In the second day, OC had a short meeting between AAPG Student Members and Top People in AAPG and SEAPEX. They were Mr. John Kaldi, Mr. Peter Baillie, and Mr. Louis Rothenberg as the main speakers in this meeting.

Firstly, Mr. Geovani opened the meeting. Secondly, Mr. Peter Baillie started as the first speaker. He is treasurer of AAPG Asia-Pasific. Generally, Mr. Baillie told about an overview of AAPG, namely its history, development, and expectation to the future. Then, Mr. John Kaldi came as the second speaker. He is Professor on Adelaide University and also became as speaker in IPA course. Mr. John Kaldi explained that student chapter was one way to know about petroleum industry much more again. So, SC was like the facilitator for students. Next speaker was Mr. Louis Rothenberg. He is President of SEAPEX. The last speakers were Mr. Dharmawan Samsu and Mrs. Qivayanti as representative of Indonesia OC.
After that, there was session of question. This session was used well by student members to ask anything about AAPG. In the end meeting, we took a picture together.

In the last day, we followed the closing ceremony of IPA 32nd Convention and Exhibition. Then, there was a giving achievement for UNPAD SC as the International Outstanding Student Chapter 2007 from Mr. Geovani C Kaeng (AAPG Asia Pasific – SC Affairs Coordinator). This is as a prize for their great activities for last one year period. Besides got $1000 prize, President UNPAD SC is also invited to attend AAPG Annual Leadership Days in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 22-24, 2008. In the other side, UNPAD SC of AAPG is the Host for SEAPEX Leadership Conference 2008 on November later.
