On May 4, 2007, 30 students of AAPG Student Chapter of University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia, came to Miri for 3 days field trip. This group of students, were accompanied by 2 lecturers Prof. Dr. Wan Hasiah Abdullah and Prof. Denis Tan. During this 3 days trip, the students went to observe a number of excellent outcrops in Northwest Borneo, visited Shell office in Miri to see some presentations, and also visited onshore drilling site in Brunei. The students learnt a number of petroleum geology aspects from this trip. This trip was ended on May 6, and the students flew safely back to Kuala Lumpur. The organizers and participants of this trip would like to thank Shell Malaysia as the sole sponsor for this program.

I was in this field trip, and it was really fun and educational… Hope to organize this kind of field trip again for this academic year! Thank you; Shell, AAPG and AAPG Student Chapter UM.
